Question: How do I share app access with my family, relatives, friends, or others? Can someone else use their Sifely app on my lock? Can more than one person control the lock with their phone?
Answer: For enhanced security, the Sifely system prevents a single user account from logging in on multiple devices or smartphones simultaneously. This measure protects your lock's settings and access logs from unauthorized manipulation or access.
There are 2 types of shared admin access “Ekey” and “Authorized admin”.
Important note: It is strongly recommended that the recipient register for an account on the Sifely Smart Lock app first with their phone number or email address.
How to create an Authorized Admin:
Step 1: On the lock home screen, tap on Guest Access.
Step 2: Tap on Authorized Admin.
Step 3: Tap on Create Admin
Step 4: Select between ‘Timed’ and ‘Permanent’. Complete all the required sections.
Note: If a Sifely Gateway is connected to the lock, you can enable or disable "Allow Remote Unlocking" to give the admin remote access.
Step 5: Tap on "Send." If you see the pop-up "Sent Successfully," then the recipient's account has received the admin access.
Step 6: Tap Complete. If you want the recipient notified, tap Notify via email or text.
How to create an ekey users
Step 1: On the lock home screen, tap on Guest Access.
Step 2: Tap on eKeys
Step 3: Tap on Send eKey
Step 4: Select between Timed, Permanent, One-time and Recurring. Complete all the required sections.
Note: If a Sifely Gateway is connected to the lock, you can enable or disable "Allow Remote Unlocking" to give the admin remote access.
Step 5: Tap on "Send." If you see the pop-up "Sent Successfully," then the recipient's account has received the admin access.
Step 6: Tap Complete. If you want the recipient notified, tap Notify via email or text.
