The New Sifely Smart Lock App allows users to conveniently create and manage passcodes for their smart locks, ensuring secure and flexible access control for your home or office. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to generate or create a passcode using the app.
Note: Codes will need to be entered first and then followed by # on the keypad or the lock symbol depending on which model you have. (e.g., “564324#”).

Step 6: For Smart locks that doesn’t connected to the Wifi network via Gateway, please choose either “I’m near the lock” or “I’m not near the lock”.
- I’m near the lock: Users can create their custom passcode.
- I’m not near the lock: The system will generate a random code for you.
Step 7: Tap “Continue” to save the passcode.
Step 8: Share the passcode (Optional)
You can share the generated passcode directly via the app through SMS, email, or messaging apps, allowing trusted users to receive their unique access code safely.
Note:
- Please pay attention to this grey text below the passcode description. Each generated passcode will be SUSPENDED for security reasons, if the code was not used at least once within 24 hours or 6 hours depending on the type of code.
- If you want to be notified when the passcode will expire, you can set a “Remind expiration before” and select a reminder hour. This feature only supports Timed Passcodes (custom & auto - generated).
Here are some important limitations for passcodes:
- Our lock can store 250 passcodes, however, only 20 permanent passcodes can be generated every hour. If more than 20 are generated within an hour, then the 1st code will be recycled.
- Custom Codes can only be programmed while you are within Bluetooth range of the lock or if the Sifely Gateway is set up near the lock.
- Recurring codes. Only one recurring code can be set during a time slot. For example, if a code is set from Monday-Friday 8am to 3 pm. There is only one recurring code that can be active during that time slot.
How to edit or delete passcodes:
After generating a passcode, you can edit/ modify the passcode information (Name, Passcode and Validity Period).
- On the passcodes page, select the code you want to edit or modify.
Note: The code needs to be used first to unlock the before you can edit Passcode and Validity Period.
To delete passcode, there are two ways to delete code.
- On the passcode page, select the passcode that you want to delete and press and hold for 3 seconds. A delete pop up page will appear on the screen and select “Delete”.
- Go to Passcode information and select the Delete option below.
Limitation for generating, changing and deleting passcodes:
- Most codes can be generated remotely such as permanent, timed, one time and recurring. This means that you can just use your app and the code will be available for use. However, custom codes cannot be generated remotely unless there is a Sifely Gateway set up near the lock.
-
Remotely deleting and changing passcode required for the lock to be connected through Gateway.
