Question:
What does the "Monitor and Alert" feature in the Sifely App do?
Answer:
The "Monitor and Alert" feature provides additional locking functionality, allowing you to customize your alerts for each function as listed below.
Reminder: Our lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with the lock via the app. If you want to receive a notification alert remotely or add an alert remotely, it is recommended to have a Sifely Gateway installed near your lock.
Instructions for adding an alert:
Step 1: Go to the individual lock "Settings" menu
Step 2: Tap on the "Monitor and Alert" option
Step 3: Tap on the "Add an Alert" option
Step 4: Select the event type and when you wish to be notified
Step 5: Customize the event type that you selected.
1. Guest Access Alert- Notify users when a specific member unlocks with a passcode, card, or other unlocking method.
Users can customize the alert if they want to be notified by the following:
- Anyone: This is the default alert, in which the admin or shared will receive notification from any of the set authorized admins and unlocking methods.
- A specific User's Unlock: The owner or Authorized admin can set an alert for a specific user at a scheduled time and day.
2. Long Period of Inactivity—This feature notifies users when there are no activities for the lock during a scheduled time period. It is designed for families with elderly members.
3. Suspicious Activity—Users will be notified if suspicious activity occurs, such as multiple passcode attempts that trigger the lockdown or lock alarm.
Users can customize the alert if they want to be notified “Anytime” or “Select a scheduled period.”
4. Low Battery Alert - Notify users when the lock's battery level is below 15%, prompting them to replace the batteries.
Users can customize the alert if they want to be notified by the following:
- Anytime: Users will receive a battery notification alert anytime.
- At a scheduled period: Users will receive a battery notification alert at the set scheduled time and days.
How do you delete the set event notification?
To delete the alert notification, press and hold the set alert on the list for about 3 seconds. A pop-up message will then appear requesting that you delete the notification.
Please note the following:
• These alert features require a gateway to receive an alert notification.
• Both owner and authorized admin can set, customize, and view alerts based on their preferences.
• Alert notifications can be set individually and will not be shared across accounts.
