How do I Calibrate the Sifely-O Deadbolt?
Answer:
When calibrating the Sifely-O Deadbolt, it is essential to double-check that it was installed correctly, as it relates to the installation on the left or right side of the door. This will ensure that the deadbolt locks and unlocks correctly.
There are two ways to Calibrate the lock:
1. If the lock is not yet paired with the App, you can use the Default passcode 123456# to calibrate the lock
2. Calibrate the lock during the Pairing process using the App. (Note: Calibrating the Sifely-O Deadbolt may differ depending on which Sifely Smart lock App you are using.)
Sifely App (New)
For the newest release, version 6.4.36.240507 of Sifely-O Deadbolt, we have improved the lock calibration during the lock pairing process, which the App refers to as “Lock Handling''.
- The lock will automatically calibrate to the correct direction of the thumb knob turns. Just tap the “Calibrate” during the pairing process.
- Perform an unlocking test:
- navigating to the lock page on the Sifely App
- tap the Big Blue Lock
You can also recalibrate the lock in the lock settings.
- Go to lock settings
- Tap on “Handling Calibration”
Sifely App (Original)
During the pairing process, you will be asked which direction your door is opening (left or right). This step will help you set the proper calibration of your lock depending on the thumb knob direction of your lock and to avoid locking/unlocking issues. This is called “Door Opening Direction” for the Sifely App (Original).
- Select manually which opening direction of your Door is “Open to right” or “Open to left”. If the select door opening direction is incorrect, it will cause an issue with the lock, like doing the opposite.

If you Skip this step, you can recalibrate your lock in your Sifely App lock settings.
- Go to lock settings
- Tap on “Door opening direction.”
- Select the right opening direction of your door and click “OK”
- Try to lock and unlock the lock using any unlocking methods.(Repeat the process if the issue persists.)
