Description: The purpose of this article is to show the reader clearly how and where they can change the lock's auto-lock settings. For example, Betty would like to set her lock's auto-lock delay to 60 seconds; it's currently at a 5-second delay time. She frequently has to go out of her house and to her car to grab something from there, and she would like the convenience of being able to run out and run back to her house with ease and convenience.
Question:
- How do I delay the time that my door lock decides to auto-lock? 5 seconds is just not cutting it!
Answer:
- Good news! It is possible to extend the auto-lock delay time. There are actually two ways of getting this done. The first is changing the delay time in seconds; then the next would be disabling the auto-lock feature. Both involve first going to the Sifely App's lock settings shown here:
- Next, we will head to the "Auto Lock" option:
- Here is where we can either keep Auto Lock enabled or disabled and also we can select "Delay time" to change the delay in seconds.
*Important note If disabling Auto Lock, remember to tap the "Save" option that will appear on the top right of the screen
- When Enabling/Disabling the Auto Lock feature, remember to tap "Save" located in the blue banner, to save the changes.
*Note By turning OFF, the Lock will remain Unlocked all day until it is manually Locked.
- Next is shown where we can scroll through the delay settings for auto-lock; once the desired time in seconds is selected, tap "OK" to update the delay in seconds. Should you choose a custom delay time, remember the number you put will be in seconds.
- Finally, save your new Delay time settings here:
