Lock Alarm

Article Purpose:

The purpose of this article is to explain why a lock may go into a "Lock out" mode due to too many incorrect entry attempts and to guide users on how to unlock it by waiting for 5 minutes or using the Sifely mobile app.

Question

Why can't I use my passcode, fingerprints or fobs to open my lock anymore? I entered a code incorrectly and an alarm went off. Why is my lock locking up? 

I received the error "system is locked." What does "unauthorized the system is locked" mean? 

Answer

This may be to due a security feature where there were too many incorrect entry attempts and as a result the lock is in a "Lock out" mode. 

To use the lock as normal, you can either:

• Wait 5 minutes.
• Use your app to unlock it once.
