Question
Why doesn't the fingerprint sensor of the lock recognize my fingerprint?
Answer
Here are some troubleshooting steps to improve the fingerprint recognition rate:
1. Ensure that the fingerprint recognition area and your fingers are clean and dry.
2. Re-register your fingerprint on the device.
3. Register different fingers.
4. Take out the batteries and place them back in after a minute. (This will not delete any data on the lock)
(1) You will be asked to place your finger four times on the sensor. Please use a different angle with a more circular motion of your prints and press a little bit harder on the sensor each time.
(2) Make sure to use the highest central parts of the fingerprint or the most curved part of the fingerprint when you register or scan the fingerprint.
Note:
1. Using fingerprints more frequently will improve the ability of the fingerprint sensor to recognize them.
2. During cold weather, your fingerprint may not be recognized due to dryness of the skin, affecting the fingerprint pattern and ability of the fingerprint sensor to capture the fingerprint.
3. If you have damaged fingerprints, we recommend using other methods to unlock the locks (Passcode, Fobs, Safely App).
4. Take out the batteries and place them back in after a minute. (This will not delete any data on the lock)
